editing pricelist items

Is possible to show, change and update pricelist items by the utility?
Some view have to be choosen to show records of any entity but the pricelist items don't have views (only parent pricelist).

Is some way how to do this? Or am I wrong in something?

Thanks

I would like to do the same thing - export/update price list items - can this tool do that or is there an alternative?

Thanx

I too have been trying to do this. I've gotten very close, but not with this tool - and I still can't say I'm having success. In case it works better for either of you, I exported all of my Active Price List Items directly out of SQL Server Management Studio with the following query:

SELECT item.productpricelevelid AS 'Price List Item', item.productidname AS 'Product Name', product.price AS 'List Price', item.productid AS 'Product',
item.modifiedon AS 'Modified', item.pricelevelid AS 'Price List', item.pricelevelidname AS 'Price List Name', item.discounttypeid AS 'Discount List',
item.discounttypeidname AS 'Discount List Name', item.amount AS 'Amount', item.uomid AS 'Unit', item.pricingmethodcode AS 'Pricing Method',
item.quantitysellingcode AS 'Quanity Selling Option', item.percentage AS 'Percentage', item.roundingoptionamount AS 'Rounding Amount',
item.roundingoptioncode AS 'Rounding Option', item.roundingpolicycode AS 'Rounding Policy'
FROM FilteredProductPriceLevel AS item JOIN FilteredProduct AS product ON item.productid = product.productid
WHERE product.statecode = 0
ORDER BY product.producttypecode, 'Product Name', 'Price List'

Then, I edited all of the lookup fields so that the GUID is prefixed with the entity it's referring to (you'll get errors on import if you don't), made my changes to the other fields necessary, created a Data Map in CRM and then Imported. The problem is - I'm getting a "No Entity" error on the productpricelevelid column (the GUID for the Price List Item) and I can't figure out why. If any of you have any ideas, I'd love to hear it!

Hi,
Did anybody find a solution for the Price List and Price List Items issues?
I need it urgently!
Thanks in advance

1sabine8: I still have not had any luck. As you can see from my last post, you cannot use the import tool built into CRM 4.0 to update existing Price List Items. I opened a discussion with Microsoft Support Specialists in the Partner Community pages, and they basically told me that I would have to use the SDK to do this. Unfortunately, I am not a programmer and I have not had time to try and teach myself how to use the SDK yet. I had to give up and update the 30 or so products (each of their 4 price list items) manually because at that point it was quicker than coming up with an SDK solution.

Good luck...

In addition, there is no way to do it with the inline update feature of this little tool either. This tool pulls data using views created in CRM either through Customization of the entities, or the Advanced Find tool. Well, there is no way to edit or create views in the Customization of the Price List Item entity, and I have not found any way to use the Advanced Find to give me a list of Price List Items (Price List Items is not an option in the "Look For" drop box for some reason).
