Cant get it to work either

description

Like several other people when I launch this & connect to CRM its ok but as soon as I ask it to list any set of records if bombs out with exception error. Real shame because the original idea in CRM to export to Excel for re-import would have been so useful and this would fill the hole that leaves but just cant make it work

Roger,
What is the excetion that you are getting, please attch it to the issue. If you are getting exception:
System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'Single Microsoft.Crm.Sdk.CrmFloat.get_Value()'.

The problem is thatyour machine has older version of dlls (Probably from RTM) and thats causing the issue. The issue is addresses, please download MSCRMimport_Rel1.1_For_VPC.zip from the "Releases" section and you will be fine. See the "Releases" section for more details. If your error is different, please attach the exception.

Hi Arkuma;

You said -> What is the excetion that you are getting, please attch it to the issue. If you are getting exception:
System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'Single Microsoft.Crm.Sdk.CrmFloat.get_Value()'.

I say -> I am getting this error. Error file is attached.

You said -> The problem is thatyour machine has older version of dlls (Probably from RTM) and thats causing the issue.

I say -> Which DLLs are old? I followed the following instructions from the ReadMe:

Using the tool:
==============+
  1. Download the MSCRM 4.0 SDK using the link http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=82E632A7-FAF9-41E0-8EC1-A2662AAE9DFB&displaylang=en
  2. Copy Microsoft.Crm.Sdk.dll and Microsoft.Crm.SdkTypeProxy.dll in the Release folder. You only need these two files to run the tool.
  3. Launch Export.exe
I am not using the CRM VPC I am using an inplace Dev environment.

Thanks
Don
